About µTime Games, Inc.
µTime Games, Inc. is an independent game design and publishing company formed in early 2005. Our first published game was Dough Nuts!, released in March 2005. Since then, we've released several other games, and have branched out into the online gaming space with games like PseudoQuest.
Who Are We?
µTime Games is entirely run by only three people, if you can believe it.
Geoffrey Benson (aka Xaroth) is the founder and president of the company. Geoff's always been a hard-core gamer, reaching back to chess before age 8 and plenty of time spent on the Atari 400 growing up (back when it was new!), all the way up through the latest PC and console titles and some of the most obscure board and card games out there. He handles most of the fundamental game design and mechanics, and does a lot of work with anything computer-related for the company.
Rebecca Benson (aka JavaLuv) is the company's primary artist and board secretary. She handles both the artwork creation for all of the printed works, as well as art direction for those occasions that contractors are used. She handles the books, and is always the first playtester for any crazy scheme we come up with. Rebecca was introduced to the wide world of gaming later in life, and as such always has a fresh perspective on what makes a game interesting to "non-gamers" (not that we feel such a thing really exists).
Chad Walker is the company's vice-president and chief playtesting officer. Chad usually gets ahold of the games once the first round of problems have been ironed out, and is always great at finding new people to help playtest the games. He helps out with the website from time to time, and usually handles promoting our games at conventions and such around the country. Chad's been a gamer at least as long as Geoff, hearkening back to the Apple ][GS and onward.
Our Games
µTime Games has a strong focus on games that are fun to play, easy to learn, and generally humorous. The concepts are wide-ranging, and usually the sorts of things that make you wonder what on earth we were thinking when we came up with them. (Really? Doughnuts to save a bus full of children? Are you sure?)
We believe that games make for a great social tool, and are wonderful for getting to know new people. As such, all of our games are tooled towards these social aspects. You never know what you'll learn about a friend when playing games with them!
